Individuals with Disabilities Act is the law that makes available a free appropriate public education to eligible children with disabilities.  Learn more about the law and policies at the official U.S. Department of Education's IDEA website

Understood is a great website for information about disabilities and challenges of all areas.  There are many topics to explore.

Wrightslaw provides free access to articles, legal cases, training, and resources about special education law and advocacy.  Also check out the book From Emotions to Advocacy  by Pam Wright and Pete Wright.
